Introduction

Welcome to Paws United. We are a small company that specializes in positive reinforcement dog training. We come to you to help you train your dog. This is highly educational for the owner and every step will be explained. Dog training in your home is a great way to train your dog since it will be one less distraction for you and your pup to worry about since you will be in your own home. These sessions start at $85 and are 60 minutes long. There are package deals of: 7 sessions for $515, 5 sessions for $375 or 3 sessions for $230. We also offer walk and trains. This can be done either midday while you’re at work or while you are home and we take them for 60 minutes and fill you in on what we did. These are $60/walk. They can be $50/walk if 2 walks/week are scheduled regularly. Lastly, we offer group classes. These are $225 for 6 sessions. There are flexible schedules (i.e. weekly or every other week depending on your schedule).

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Sessions start at $85/session. Each session is an hour long. Price increases if time limit is consistently abused or if we opt to add extra dogs/time onto the session. We offer a discount when you buy a package from us: 7 sessions for $515, 5 sessions for $375, and 3 sessions for $230.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
When I get a new customer I set up a 90 minute long session. This session is 30 minutes of getting to know you and your needs along with your dog and their needs. The other 60 minutes will be used to work with you and your pup on training. This session is critical so I have the opportunity to make a game plan for us and have the best chance of success. If you have bought a package and we have our first session and you decide we aren't a good match, you get a refund on the unused sessions and no harm done.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have dog training certification through CATCH Canine Academy. I also have experience shadowing several different types of dog trainers as well as 6 years of training under our belt.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I’ve always loved animals. I want what is best for them and will give them the best of everything. I started out as a pet sitter and realized my passion was in the training. I could be watching a dog for a week and they would be doing well for me but the owners came home and the dog was the same as when they left. I realized dog training is more teaching the owners how to train their dogs so that the grown and learning can continue once I left. Getting to spend every day of my life being with animals and seeing owners learn is the best life I can imagine.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
My most common customer are those that need help organizing their lives around their dog and need a schedule/routine. Individuals with ADHD and those on the Autism spectrum are my most common clients and I love working with them! I have also worked with wheelchair-bound individuals and others that need walking assistance.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure you’re comfortable with who you’re about to hire. If they seem to be an amazing trainer but something doesn’t feel right to you or your pet isn’t acting themselves then that isn’t the best match for you. Finding the best dog trainer is important so you know that the training being done is something you can continue and will be effective for your dog.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
A big question you should ask yourself before contacting me is what type of training you want. I don't use e-collars a prefer to not use prong collars but those can be good tools if used correctly. Please ask any trainer the questions that you have. We are here to answer your questions and improve your relationship with your dog.
